Belzona’s wide range of epoxy-based metal repair composites and high-temperature coatings and linings has been used in the Oil and Gas industry since the late 1970s. Our materials are specifically bdesigned to provide outstanding erosion and corrosion protection and chemical resistance for equipment operating offshore and onshore at various temperatures and pressures. We offer cost-effective solutions that reduce downtime and labour costs while eliminating the need for equipment replacement.
Internal & External Protection of Process Vessels
Our linings, suitable for elevated (60°C – 90°C / 140°F – 194°F) and high temperatures (90°C – 160°C / 194°F – 320°F), can be spray- or hand-applied to form a durable barrier against corrosive media. They withstand pressure and temperature fluctuations, steam-out, and explosive decompression. A complete corrosion solution also includes small bore nozzle and flange face protection using Belzona 1511 (Super HT-Metal) and Belzona 1391T to ensure complete substrate isolation.
Pipework Repair & Protection
Belzona metal repair composites address thin-wall and through-wall damage via pipe wraps, plate bonding, and pit filling, extending asset life. The Belzona SuperWrap II system, compliant with ISO 24817 and ASME PCC-2, restores strength to corroded pipes and tanks without hot work, suitable for various climates and service temperatures up to 150°C (302°F).
Flange corrosion can be prevented with Belzona 3412, which seals connections yet allows easy inspection. For corrosion under insulation (CUI), surface-tolerant heat-activated polymers and Belzona 3211 (Lagseal) encapsulation provide lasting protection.
Cold Bonding
An alternative to welding, Belzona cold bonding is ideal for safe, in-situ installation and maintenance of decks, tanks, pipes, and fittings. Injection bonding technology enables structural repairs and deck renovations without shutdowns.
Splash Zone Repair & Protection
Belzona composites repair pitting corrosion and rubber sheath damage on risers, with flexible sealing (Belzona 2111) and surface-tolerant coatings (Belzona 5831) applied in splash zones and underwater.
Storage Tank & Secondary Containment
Emergency leak sealing, cold plate bonding, and tank base sealing with Belzona 3111 prevent water ingress. Damaged concrete floors/walls can be restored using Belzona 4111 and protected against chemicals with Belzona 4361 and Belzona 4341 (Magma CR4).
Carbon Capture Systems
For amine stripper columns in carbon capture processes, Belzona’s cold bonding and high-temperature solutions (Belzona 1511, Belzona 1593, Belzona 1391T) restore corroded steel and provide long-term protection against specific amines.
Decommissioning Operations
Belzona supports late-life and decommissioning phases with metal repair composites (Belzona 1111, 1121, 1611) for both above-water and underwater repairs, plus specialised coatings such as Belzona 5831LT for low-temperature environments. Elastomer products offer flexible repairs for hoses and buoys.
